We are looking for a talented sous chef to join our team at Hanzō Vesterbro, where the menu brings together the very best of Asian cuisine—ensuring a unique and exciting dining experience with every visit.
We sat out to create a Hanzō restaurant that embraces the buzzing hotspot Værnedamsvej has turned out to be. Take that and combine it with a very colourful Pan-Asian look and feel. Add in a couple of dragons and cats with swinging arms - and you've got Hanzō Vesterbro.
Everything is wrapped in an atmospheric setting where food, drink, light, sound, scents, and colors blend into a sensory experience. At Hanzō, we are especially known for our shared dining, which resonates with both street food and gourmet touches.

The job
A day in the role of sous chef will involve leadership and delegation, optimizing schedules, financial management, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality and cleanliness.
While cooking and managing tickets, you’ll also need to motivate the team and brief the floor staff about the evening’s service. You might also need to handle challenges like a dishwasher breaking down or other unexpected issues. Success is delivering an evening with fantastic food, served on time with a positive attitude, and with happy colleagues who feel motivated, inspired, and appreciated in your presence.
There will be regular menu changes to match the seasons, during which you will participate in the development of dishes and recipes, as well as the associated financial planning.
